New API release for AITRIOS | Console Developer Edition Update
Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation has developed the API to enhance the convenience of the AITRIOS | Console Developer Edition. Accordingly, we are releasing the new API (Console REST API V2) along with the corresponding Console V2, Edge Firmware, Edge Application and SDK.
Performance Improvement
The software architecture of both Edge Devices and the Console has been revised, resulting in improved performance. High-performance and flexible sensor control from Edge Applications is now possible, and the UI response has been enhanced.
Improved Operability and Maintainability
It is now possible to specify the "To Be" state for Edge Devices and Edge Applications. This allows for autonomous recovery to the operational state even if there is a restart due to a power outage during operation. The Console UI has also been revised, allowing efficient operations on a single screen for managing Edge Devices, Edge Device Software, Edge Applications, and collected data.
Enhanced Ease of Edge Application Development
The SDK for Edge Application development has been reviewed, and an event-driven framework is provided. Developers only need to implement processing for each event, reducing the amount of implementation code required compared to traditional development. The range of sensor control and data manipulation from Edge Applications has also expanded, enabling the development of more flexible applications. Furthermore, parameters that can be specified from the Console can now be freely added, improving operability.
"Scenario Hub" to Improve Work Efficiency
A new "Scenario Hub" has been introduced, allowing operators to complete necessary information and operations on a single screen. The three Scenario Hubs for Provisioning, Deployment, and Visualization enable smooth registration of Edge Devices, deployment of AI models and Edge Applications, and data verification.

Note about Console REST API V2
• Edge device firmware cannot be reverted to Console REST API V1 version once the edge device is updated with the Console REST API V2 version of the edge device firmware.
• As of April 2025, Console REST API V2 is not supported on AIH-IVRW2. We will notify when the firmware becomes available.
• Use of “SW Provisioning” in Scenario Hub is recommended over “Devices” under Resource management when deploying edge application and AI models..
